"Great hotel and very peaceful."
We just returned from a wonderful 4 day stay. The hotel is housed in an old palace and they have done a fantastic job renovating it. They have maintained much of the old style while re-doing the rest modern. It works great. We found the service to be very helpful and prompt. Our room was clean and well appointed (minimalist but nice). Beds and sheets were very comfortable. We had a nice view over the pool and of a nice orange tree. The hotel was very quite and peaceful - we rested too much (but it was so hot outside there wasn't much else to do except enjoy the hotel. Don't go to Cordoba in July/August as it is really hot). The pool is on the small side but very nice - there is not a lot of room if many guests decide to use it. The restaurant is very good. It is high end modern Spanish cuisine. We ate lunch and dinner there and enjoyed both meals (it is not cheap but worth it.) The waiters were very nice. Breakfast was very good and included. Meals are served in a beautiful enclosed courtyard with a glass floor through which you can see old ruins. In short, a great relaxing peaceful hotel which we thought was really worth the money. (arrival is very tricky - don't try to drive to drive there your first time. Better to find a cab and have it lead you there or call the hotel and have them direct you via cell phone ; however, don't let this dissuade you from going.)
